AI superiority over humans
Though Elon Musk has repeatedly pointed out the dangers associated with artificial intelligence in the past, he is now actively promoting this field. In 2024, his company xAI introduced Grok-2, a model far more powerful than its predecessors, including GPT-4. The billionaire is confident that by the end of 2025, AI will not only catch up with human intelligence but surpass it. This breakthrough could accelerate technological and scientific progress at an unprecedented pace, but it will also require a more responsible approach to the use of AI.
Tesla factory robotization
Musk promises that Tesla will begin integrating humanoid robots into its production lines next year. The robots, known as Optimus, whose prototype was unveiled three years ago, are designed to perform repetitive, labor-intensive, and dangerous tasks. Musk plans to ramp up the production of these robots by 2026, aiming to make them more accessible to other companies as well.
US robotaxis rise
At the We, Robot event this fall, Musk unveiled the concept of a fully autonomous robotaxi dubbed Cybercab. This vehicle has no steering wheel or pedals, instead using cameras and AI to drive. Musk intends to roll out these robotaxis in California and Texas next year, although he acknowledges that obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals could be a challenge, as the regulation of autonomous vehicles in the United States is heavily dependent on state laws.
Record Tesla sales growth
In 2025, Musk’s company Tesla plans to increase sales by 20–30%, mainly through more affordable models and the introduction of autonomous technologies. According to the entrepreneur, measures such as offering discounts on the Model 3 and Model Y and reducing the price of the Cybertruck will help the company strengthen its market position. Tesla currently holds 19% of the global electric vehicle market, sharing the top spot with China's BYD. If Musk’s predictions come true, Tesla could leave its competitors far behind, paving the way for even more ambitious goals by 2026.
