Az S&P 500 0,38%-ot gyengült, míg a dollárindex 0,20%-ot, hála az államkötvényhozamok enyhe növekedésének. A befektetőket a jelek szerint némileg összezavarta, hogy a Kongresszus nem jutott megállapodásra a költségvetéssel kapcsolatban, mivel a mostani helyzet a kormány újabb részleges leállásához vezethet (március 1-től). Ha így lesz, az nem jelenti majd a dollár automatikus visszaesését, sőt, középtávon valószínűleg erősödni fog, mivel a részvények zuhanása közben biztonságos menedékként működhet.
A napi grafikonon az euró tegnapi emelkedése a balanszvonal miatt állt le. A Marlin oszcillátor szignálvonala is enyhén lefelé fordult, és ha az ár megállapodik 1,0825 alatt, akkor 1,0724 felé tarthat tovább a devizapár.
Az EUR/USD-t nemcsak az indikátorvonalak, hanem az 1,0905-ös célár is feltarthatja. Utóbbi sikeres áttörése után folytathatja mozgását a január 11-i 1,1001-es csúcs felé.
A négyórás grafikonon a Marlin oszcillátor továbbra is nyomás alatt van, ezért leereszkedhet, de mivel az ár az indikátorvonalak fölött maradt, egyelőre nem történt visszaesés. Ereszkedő mozgás akkor lesz, ha az ár megállapodik az 1,0825-ös támasz alatt és a február 12-i csúccsal egybeeső 1,0806-os MACD-vonal támasza alá esik.
