The consumer price inflation in Mexico rose more than expected in July.
Data revealed that consumer price index increased an annual 6.44 percent, beating the 6.37 percent expected by economists.
The CPI rose 0.38 monthly in July, up from June's 0.25 percent.
Underlying inflation increased to 4.94 percent from June's 4.83 percent. The core CPI edged up 0.27 percent on a monthly basis, after a 0.30 percent gain in June, in line with economists' expectations.
