Who are the Experienced Retail Clients?

In 2019, a new client category was introduced by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego). This category allows for lower margin requirements which means that the Experienced clients can use higher leverage.

Who can become the Experienced Retail Client?

Only the residents of Poland who possess certain expertise and knowledge about financial markets allowing them to make the right decisions and assess their risks properly can be classified as an Experienced Retail Clients.

Criteria to be qualified as the Experienced Retail Client

Within the last 24 months a client carried out:

CFD transactions with a nominal value of the equivalent in Polish zloty of at least EUR 50,000 each with a frequency of at least 10 transactions per quarter during four quarters, or

CFD transactions with a nominal value of the equivalent in Polish zloty of at least EUR 10,000 each with a frequency of at least 50 transactions per quarter during four quarters, or

CFD transactions with a total nominal value of the equivalent in Polish zloty of at least EUR 2,000,000 with a frequency of at least 40 transactions per quarter during four quarters.

A client should possess at least one of the following:

appropriate professional certificates, in particular: Investment Adviser, Stockbroker, Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, Professional Risk Manager, ACI Dealing Certificate, ACI Diploma, or appropriate professional education

completion of a 50-hour training on derivatives, including CFDs, provided by instaforex.eu

certificate or confirmation of training in derivatives, including CFDs, in the last 12 months, if not done with instaforex. The training should be provided by a competent training provider.

at least one year of professional work experience in the financial sector, where knowledge of transactions or services in CFDs was required (confirmed by an employment contract or other contractual relationship).
